Every Club A Distinguished Club

Each year clubs all over the world strive to be Distinguished Club.

January 2001 marked the start of the New Year and the beginning of the New Millennium. It is time for clubs in District 51 to review and to refocus their strategies to achieve their Distinguished Club goals. Every Club a Distinguished Club!

Why do Clubs need to be Distinguished Clubs?

Distinguished clubs are a measure of club success in areas of educational achievements, membership growth and retention, club administration and training. Through this program, club officers are given the opportunity to manage their clubs effectively. Clubs worldwide use the Club Success Plan to manage their clubs. From past records, experience and feedback, clubs which use this management tool effectively, achieve their Distinguished Club status.

Why is Club success so important?

If Clubs fail or are unsuccessful, members are deprived of the full benefits of the Toastmasters program. Most members join Toastmasters to be confident and effective speakers.

Why does Toastmasters International want Clubs to achieve Distinguished Club status?

It is to help clubs ensure that their members are participating actively and presenting their basic and advanced speeches regularly and that there are enough members to hold quality meetings. Distinguished Clubs are successful Clubs. Successful Clubs are strong quality clubs.

Remember that the Vision of Toastmasters International is to empower people to achieve their full potential and realize their dreams. Through our member clubs, people throughout the world can develop their communication and leadership skills giving them the courage to change.

Through its Districts worldwide, Toastmasters International carries out its mission to make its vision a worldwide reality. Hence, the need for our District, Divisions, Areas and Clubs to achieve our goals. All goals are achievable if Clubs strive to be Distinguished Clubs. Club Officers, Area Governors, Division Governors play vital roles in the fulfillment of members' needs and realization of their dreams. Each and every one of us are part of the Toastmasters Vision. Every new member, every new club, every CTM, ATM, CL, AL or DTM brings about new hopes and dreams through better communciation and leadership skills. By achieving the goals in the Distinguished Club program, our clubs are successful clubs with satisfied and successful members.

Fellow Toastmasters, together let us strive to achieve - EVERY CLUB A DISTINGUISHED CLUB.
