Hong Kong Achievers Toastmasters Joins District 51

District 51 welcomes Hong Kong Achievers Toastmasters Club into our toastmasters family.

This landmark decision was made on the 24th of July 2000 during the club's chartered meeting. A quorum was called during the meeting and an overwhelming majority voted in favour joining District 51.

Alfred Tse, Division H Governor could not contain his excitement when he announced the news to the District Executive Committee. "Achievers, Division H has been longing for you for over 2 years!", he said.

Hong Kong Achievers Toastmasters Club will be aligned under Division H. The Division and Area Governors of Division H will be ensuring that our "new kid on the block" gets access to all District-sponsored Programs and trainings, as well as opportunities for their contestants to win their way to the World Championship in Public Speaking.

The club was also the last undistricted club in Hong Kong. With her admission into District 51, all Hong Kong Toastmasters Clubs are now fully districted.

Hong Kong Division Council would like to thank Leslie Toong, president of Hong Kong Achievers, and his dedicated team for their decision. It also credits Andy See, Immediate Past Division H Governor for playing an important role in the admission.

Once again, welcome to District 51, Achievers.
